Indian Stock Market Enters Prolonged Selloff, Impacting Crypto Traders
The Indian stock market has been experiencing a prolonged decline, with the Nifty 50 falling by 6.1% in September and foreign investors withdrawing $2.7 billion from Indian equities.
This marks the second consecutive month of decline for the Nifty 50, with the Sensex also dropping by about 5.8%. The outflows from foreign investors have reached a massive $26.8 billion this year alone.
The IT sector has been particularly hard hit, with stocks falling by 11.2%, while financial services dropped by 6.3% and mid-cap stocks declined by 7.6%. These declines indicate that the pressure is not limited to large companies.
