India's Crypto Boom Driven by Young Investors, But with a Twist

Share

India's crypto market is witnessing an influx of young investors, with 54.4% of new investors aged 18-25, according to a report by CoinSwitch.

This age group dominates new participation on the platform, but surprisingly, they are also the only cohort selling more than they buy, with a buy-to-sell ratio of just 0.65.

Older investors, particularly those aged 46 and above, show greater conviction in holding and diversifying their portfolios, with a buy-to-sell ratio of 1.14.

The report also highlights that nearly three-quarters of crypto investors in India are under the age of 35, with the 18-25 and 26-35 age groups accounting for 54.4% and 25.4% of new investors, respectively.
