Injective Blazes Past 0.6-Second Block Times with Mainnet Upgrade

Injective has achieved sub-0.6 second block times after its mainnet upgrade, IIP-665/v1.20.1.

This milestone follows a year of incremental speed gains for the layer-1 blockchain built specifically for financial applications.

In November 2025, the network launched its native EVM mainnet with block times of 0.64 seconds.

The April 28, 2026 upgrade cut block finality from 1.2 seconds down to 0.7 seconds, a 42% reduction in a single update.
