Japan's FSA Warns Zoomex.com Over Unregistered OTC Derivatives Solicitation

The Japanese Financial Services Agency (FSA) has issued a warning to Zoomex.com, a provider of the cryptocurrency exchange ZOOMEX. According to the FSA's Tokyo branch, Zoomex.com was soliciting customers for over-the-counter derivatives trading without being registered under Japan's Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.

The FSA pointed out that Zoomex.com uses the internet to solicit Japanese residents for unregistered OTC derivatives trading. The agency emphasized that even foreign-based companies must register if they engage in such activities with Japanese residents.

This is not the first time the FSA has issued a warning regarding ZOOMEX. In 2026, the agency also warned KuCoin, another overseas cryptocurrency exchange, for similar unregistered solicitation of OTC derivatives trading.
