Share

The yen-backed stablecoin JPYC experienced a significant surge in trading volume after its listing on South Korea's Upbit exchange, reaching $32.49 million on September 19.

This represents a 200-fold increase from the daily average of $163,020 over the previous 11 months and is more than 500 times the level recorded three days earlier on September 16.

The token's trading volume was driven by rapid issuance and transfer of JPYC, with blockchain transfers increasing 83.3-fold following Upbit's listing announcement.
