Justin Sun Sues Actress Jing Tian Over $4.5M 'Tsaili' Ransom
Chinese billionaire Justin Sun has filed a lawsuit against actress Jing Tian and her parents over an unpaid 'tsaili' (ransom) he claims to have given them as part of their failed marriage plans.
Sun, the founder of the Tron cryptocurrency platform, proposed to Jing Tian in January 2026 but broke off the engagement after she allegedly demanded more money for a surrogacy procedure in the US.
The 'tsaili', worth 30 million yuan (approximately $4.5 million), was given to her parents as a traditional bride price in Chinese culture.
Sun's lawsuit seeks the return of this amount, while Jing Tian's studio has released a statement saying they will not allow the actress's reputation to be used for personal purposes and promise to comply with all legal procedures.
