Kanye West Denies Link to $3.9M Ethereum Transfer Amid Speculation
A recent $3.9M Ethereum transfer has sparked speculation about its connection to rapper Kanye West, but evidence linking him to the transaction is thin at best.
The funds in question were moved from Aave, a decentralized lending platform, into a Binance exchange account on September 29, marking the wallet's first exchange deposit in nearly a year. The associated social media account identifies itself as Wanye kest, which bears a resemblance to West's name.
However, analysts who covered the wallet previously did not identify it as belonging to West and consistently referred to whoever controls the address as a trader with significant Ethereum holdings and activity. A username that resembles a celebrity's name is not evidence of ownership, and no independent verification has surfaced to establish a genuine link between the wallet and West.
In related news, veteran analyst Tom Lee has predicted a bullish outlook for Ethereum, forecasting it will reach $3,000 in the near term and climb well above $5,000 by the end of 2026. His projection is tied to historical price cycles and growing interest from the financial sector.
