Kazakhstan's capital, Astana, is emerging as a hub for the global tech industry, attracting major players like Binance, Telegram, and Balaji Srinivasan. The trend is driven by Kazakhstan's business-friendly policies and favorable tax system, which are drawing international companies and startups.

Binance's founder, Changpeng Zhao, recently visited Astana and signed agreements with the Kazakh government to review a stablecoin and build part of Binance's regional operations locally. Telegram has also expanded its presence in Kazakhstan, opening a regional office and launching an artificial intelligence research institute using Astana's supercomputing infrastructure.

Kazakhstan is actively seeking to attract global tech talent with its Digital Nomad visa and Neo Nomad visa for foreign tech workers and remote workers. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has instructed additional immigration reforms to attract highly skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and foreign investors.
