Kent Calls on Administration Opponents of Iran War to Resign

Former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center Joe Kent is calling on those in the Trump administration who oppose the Iran war to resign in protest. In a lengthy post on X, he argued that quietly opposing the war without taking action is ineffective and that those who truly oppose it should speak out publicly by resigning.

Kent made this statement after his own resignation from the Trump administration earlier this year due to the US involvement in the Iran war. He stated that the US got involved because of Israel's lobbying efforts, and he accused neoconservatives of lying about the Iraq war and now cheering on the destruction of MAGA (Make America Great Again).

Kent specifically pointed out Marc Thiessen, a speechwriter for former President George Bush, who is attacking Trump's former allies who opposed the war. He claimed that Thiessen is trying to keep Trump in a state of siege and ensure the war escalates so it can fulfill its purpose of destroying Trump's movement.

Kent accused neoconservatives of prioritizing foreign interests and personal gain over putting America first, which he believes is the core principle of MAGA.
