Kenya Partners with Avalanche to Secure Academic Credentials on Blockchain
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has partnered with the Avalanche network to issue, secure, and verify national academic credentials on the blockchain.
The goal is to replace easy-to-fake paper certificates with tamper-proof cryptographic proofs, which can be verified by anyone without relying on a stamped piece of paper.
According to the official Avalanche announcement, the Kenyan government is bringing more than 30 million academic credentials on-chain through KNECKenya.
This system creates an immutable record of credentials, making it difficult to alter or forge documents.
AVAX, the token of the Avalanche network, has seen a small price gain, trading at $11.10 with a market cap of $4.92B.
The Kenya announcement is not a new development, and the price move is likely driven by overall market conditions and trading activity.
