Kibar Sees $82,800 Breakout as Critical for Bitcoin's Bullish Trend
Aksel Kibar, a technical analyst and favorite of Peter Brandt's, has weighed in on Bitcoin's (BTC) price action. According to Kibar, a breakout above the $82,800 level could be a significant bullish signal for Bitcoin in its current timeframe. This potential breakout would need to occur with a clear weekly candle close to confirm the formation.
Kibar emphasized that he is hesitant to consider moving averages as trading signals on their own. Instead, he views them as important tools for evaluating technical formations and determining when a trend is confirmed. A breakout above $82,800 would be particularly significant if it occurs both above and below a 52-week exponential moving average (EMA), which has been tracked for about a year.
Kibar's analysis is primarily geared towards investors, but he notes that short-term traders can monitor daily candlesticks to determine entry times. The analyst's key takeaway is that what truly matters is when the price breaks the boundaries of technical formations, not just whether it crosses above or below a moving average.
