King Charles' AI Safety Summit Fails to Spark Direct Market Impact, but Tokens Keep Rallying
A recent summit hosted by King Charles III at Dumfries House in Scotland brought together tech leaders from major AI companies, including Nvidia and OpenAI. The meeting aimed to discuss common principles for developing and deploying artificial intelligence safely.
Despite the high-profile gathering, market analysts say that token-specific developments provide clearer catalysts for the rally than the summit itself. Over the past 24 hours, AI-linked crypto tokens added about 9.4% in market value, reaching a combined market value of around $18.6 billion.
Near Protocol led the large-cap names with a 20.8% gain to approximately $3.05, while Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (formerly known by the FET ticker) advanced 11.7% to $0.1674. Render climbed 10.2% to $1.42.
NEAR's advance followed a milestone involving its confidential transaction infrastructure, which exceeded $70 million in total value locked on the network. This triggered the first snapshot under its incentive program, setting aside 333,333 milestone tokens for eligible users.
