Korean Banks Flock to Ripple's $XRP Seoul Event

Ripple is set to host its $XRP Seoul event on October 3 at Grand Hyatt Seoul, which will bring together some of Korea's leading financial institutions. Woori Bank and Kakao Bank have confirmed their attendance, with representatives from each institution scheduled to speak. The event will focus on institutional adoption of the XRP Ledger (XRPL), tokenized assets, and decentralized finance (DeFi).

The lineup is significant, as it shows Ripple's growing presence in Korea. Kbank has been working with Ripple on blockchain-based overseas payments, while South Korea has explored using Ripple infrastructure for tokenized government bond settlement.

One of the key sessions will examine how traditional finance is adopting asset tokenization, followed by a discussion on the future of tokenized assets and institutional DeFi built on XRPL. Another session will focus specifically on $RLUSD and cross-border payments.
