Korean Securities Firm Partners with Dinari and Ondo to Tokenize Listed Stocks
KakaoPay Securities, a Korean securities company, is exploring the tokenization of listed stocks in Korea. To facilitate this, it has partnered with Dinari and Ondo Finance.
The partnership involves the use of Dinari's 'dShares' tokenization system, which underpins each token with one physical share of stock. This allows for the maintenance of shareholder rights such as dividends and voting power.
KakaoPay Securities will work with Dinari to establish a framework for the issuance and circulation of these tokens in Korea, with potential expansion into international markets. The company has also partnered with Ondo Finance, which specializes in tokenizing real-world assets, including stocks.
