Korea's Banking Giants to Take Stage at Upcoming XRP Event
Ripple is heading to Seoul for its upcoming XRP event, scheduled for October 3, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt Seoul during Korea Blockchain Week. The event will feature discussions on digital finance with Ripple executives and major Korean financial institutions. XRP Ledger Foundation director of community Hussein Zangana (Vet) mentioned that the sessions will focus on tokenization, payments on crypto rails, and DeFi.
The participant lineup for the event is extensive, including Ripple President Monica Long and SVP Markus Infanger. The event will also feature J.A. Akinyele, Christina Chan, Tatsuya Kohrogi, Wenny Cai, Nicholas Motz, Nathaniel T. Bradley, Aniket Jindal, Mansik Yoon, John Lilic, Sunghwan Kim, Asheesh Birla, Min Lin, Heejin Shin, Hugo Philion, Jaehyuk Choi, Bo Kim, Leo Lee, and Seunghoon Han.
XRP Ledger is set for a busy October with key events and upgrades in store. The Batch, fixBatchV1_2, and permissions delegation amendments are expected to launch in the coming month, with Batch and its fix eyeing mainnet activation on October 9, while permissions delegation is expected to launch on October 8.
The Swell event is expected to be held October 27-29, 2026, a major event for the XRP and the Ripple ecosystem.
