Kraken Brings US-Listed Stocks to EEA Customers with Commission-Free Trading
Kraken has expanded its offerings to traditional finance by launching trading in more than 7,000 US-listed stocks for European Economic Area (EEA) customers. The move is part of the company's effort to integrate equities alongside cryptocurrencies and tokenized equities.
The trading service is available through Kraken Pro and its mobile app under the company's Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II authorization. Eligible EEA customers can trade US stocks commission-free, subject to applicable conditions.
Kraken launched xStocks in 2025, which offers tokenized exposure to US equities and exchange-traded funds. Since then, xStocks has generated more than $38 billion in total transaction volume, making it the second-largest tokenized stock issuer by market capitalization, behind Ondo Finance.
