KuCoin Launches 20x Leverage Perpetuals for Nike, Accenture and Shipping ETF
KuCoin Futures has expanded its offerings by introducing new stock-index perpetual contracts. These contracts track the prices of Nike, Accenture, and the Breakwave Tanker Shipping ETF. The contracts are settled in USDT, operate continuously, and allow traders to use leverage of up to 20x.
The new products are synthetic derivatives, meaning traders gain exposure to the price movements of the underlying assets without actually owning the shares or ETF units. This structure is similar to the perpetual futures already familiar to crypto traders, but now applied to traditional equities.
One notable feature of these contracts is their 24/7 trading availability, even when the underlying U.S. securities markets are closed. This continuous trading can be both an advantage and a challenge. Traders can react to news outside regular market hours, but price discovery can become more complex when the underlying asset is not actively trading, potentially leading to wider gaps between the perpetual contract price and the official cash-market price.
KuCoin’s move highlights how crypto derivatives infrastructure is being adapted for traditional markets. Perpetual futures, originally a crypto product, are increasingly being used as an alternative way to trade various assets, including equities and commodities.
