Lazarus Group Moves $7.74M in BTC Amid Crypto Laundering Concerns
The Lazarus Group has moved $7.74 million in Bitcoin to two unidentified wallet addresses, raising concerns about crypto laundering.
Blockchain tracking platforms Arkham Intelligence and Lookonchain flagged the transfer of 121.5 BTC, which originated from a wallet associated with the Lazarus Group.
The purpose behind the transaction remains unknown, but security experts believe it's worth monitoring closely due to the group's history of laundering stolen crypto.
According to a Blockaid security report, the first half of 2026 was the worst six-month period ever for crypto hacks, with total losses reaching $1.1 billion and the Lazarus Group accounting for nearly 55% of those losses.
