Lee Predicts New Crypto Bull Market Could Surpass Previous Cycles
Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine (BMNR), said that a new bull run has begun in the cryptocurrency market and could be bigger than previous cycles. He made these remarks during Korea Blockchain Week 2026, offering his assessment of the outlook for the cryptocurrency market.
Lee highlighted several key factors supporting the current bull market, including tokenization efforts to represent real-world assets on the blockchain, attracting more attention than in previous crypto bull markets.
The widespread adoption of tokenization is seen as one accelerating the integration of blockchain technology with traditional finance. Lee also noted that capital flows linked to intergenerational wealth transfer and increased cryptocurrency purchases by institutional investors could provide new resources to the market.
Lee emphasized that digital asset treasury (DAT) companies, whose capital is not subject to repayment pressure in traditional investment funds, may amplify the impact of the new bull market. The ability of these entities to hold crypto assets on their balance sheets for extended periods represents a significant difference in terms of market dynamics.
