Malaysia Set to Showcase Web3 Strengths at 2026 Blockchain Week
Malaysia's position as one of Southeast Asia's most promising blockchain markets is gaining international recognition. At this year's Malaysia Blockchain Week (MYBW) 2026, the country will showcase its regulatory clarity, Islamic finance capabilities, and growing institutional adoption.
The event, themed 'Bridging Realities: Where Everyone Meets Web3', will take place on July 29-30 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur. It brings together global industry leaders, including Base, BitGo, and Ledger, with leading Malaysian ecosystem players like Luno, Hata, Gambit Custody, CryptoBilis, KDX, and many more.
Malaysia's Islamic finance sector is a significant aspect of the country's blockchain landscape. With 64% of its capital market in Islamic finance, Malaysia accounts for one-third of global sukuk outstanding. This creates opportunities for Shariah-compliant digital assets and tokenized financial products.
