Mantle.xyz Connects Real-World Assets to Onchain Markets with $2.4B Treasury

Mantle.xyz is an Ethereum Layer-2 network that connects real-world financial assets to onchain capital markets. The network, which was previously known as BitDAO, has been rebranded after a community vote and now reports over $2.4B in its community-owned treasury.

Mantle's mainnet launched in July 2023 and runs as a Layer-2 network, processing transactions on its own faster, cheaper system before settling the results back to Ethereum for security.

The network has seen significant updates in recent months, including the completion of the ERC-8004 standard on mainnet, which supports a decentralized AI agent economy. Mantle also announced partnerships with Bybit and xStocks to bring tokenized U.S. equities on-chain.
