MapleStory Vibe Camp Season 2 Challenges Developers to Create High-Intensity Game Loops
Nexon's MapleStory Universe (MSU) has announced the global launch of its second Vibe Camp season, running from August 18 to September 15, 2026. The four-week game jam invites developers to build original titles using official MapleStory IP resources inside MSU Space, a vibe coding environment powered by Verse8.
The campaign aims to address the rise in short-form interactive entertainment by challenging builders to create bite-sized, high-intensity game loops that prioritize player retention and replayability. To guide participants, the camp introduces three design pillars: Short, Simple, and Tense.
Short sessions are designed for 1-to-2-minute runs with instant retry loops, Simple mechanics are intuitive and can be understood within three seconds without tutorials or walls of text, and Tense games feature real-time arcade action where hands-on player skill matters. The AI Brainstorming Persona in MSU Space helps builders discover original concepts by engaging in collaborative prompt sessions before development begins.
Participants will compete for a total prize pool valued at $15,000 USD paid in NXPC tokens, with the winners announced on October 8. The campaign encourages free participation, allowing anyone to log into Verse8 and connect an MSU Builder account for weekly AI credit refills.
