Market Breadth Flips in Favor of Altcoins as Bitcoin Lags
Crypto market breadth has made a significant shift in just seven sessions, flipping from 12 advancers to 89. The QC 100 index rose 3.68% with 89 constituents advancing and only 10 declining, marking its strongest breadth reading since August.
Bitcoin, however, gained just 1.05% on the day but remains down 2.03% on the week, suggesting that the market's recovery is happening below it rather than through it.
The broad advance is led by memes at plus 6.13%, DeFi at plus 3.59%, metaverse at plus 3.49%, and platform tokens at plus 3.28%. Uniswap and Zcash are also leading, with UNI up 10.42% to $6.9145 and ZEC gaining 16.55%.
Bitcoin's dominance has drifted lower from the 59.25% recorded on August 25, consistent with a rotation down the risk curve.
