Mastering Dollar-Cost Averaging in Crypto with Bitfinex Recurring Buy
For those who may think it's impossible to accumulate wealth in the cryptocurrency market, especially during its tumultuous periods, there are indeed strategies that can help. One such approach is dollar-cost averaging (DCA), a method where investors buy a fixed amount of an asset at regular intervals, regardless of the market price.
One notable example of this strategy is the business intelligence company Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, which has been buying Bitcoin since 2020. Over six years, it accumulated more than 843,000 BTC, roughly 4% of all the Bitcoin in existence, through over a hundred separate purchases.
However, DCA isn't exclusive to corporate treasuries; on-chain data shows that long-term holders have been adding millions of BTC during market downturns. This has led to an increase in their supply, while short-term holder supply has decreased by roughly the same amount.
