Meme Coins Make Waves as Bitcoin Defends $64K Support
Bitcoin's price has remained above $64,000 as it defends its support level. This follows a recent correction from its monthly high of around $67,000 on Tuesday.
The cryptocurrency had dropped below $65,000 on Thursday after a rejection at $65,750, but bulls intervened and prevented another leg down.
On Saturday, Bitcoin's price climbed to $64,500 after US President Donald Trump ordered the US military to stand down while waiting for resumed talks between Iran and Oman.
Meanwhile, meme coins have been leading the charge in terms of gains. Shiba Inu has surged by over 35% today, marking a two-month peak, while PEPE has risen by 9.6% daily and 26% in the past month.
