MemeCore Traders Face Euro Pair Shortage and Thin Liquidity
MemeCore (M) is currently listed on 14 markets across 13 exchanges, but none of them offer a direct trading pair with the euro. Instead, all pairs involve stablecoins like Tether (USDT) or USDC, requiring an extra step and additional fees for those looking to exit their positions. This limitation complicates the selling process, as investors must first convert M into a stablecoin before exchanging it for euros.
The market for MemeCore is notably thin, with a market capitalization of $2.32 billion but only $2.39 million in daily trading volume. This results in a high ratio of 971 to 1, meaning it could take a long time to liquidate large positions without significant slippage. The largest exchange, HTX, handles 75% of the trading volume, creating a concentration risk where liquidity could be disrupted if the platform faces issues.
Despite monthly unlocks of 56.1 million M tokens since December 2025, the price has remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations around these events. The all-time high for M was $5.64 on July 2, 2026, and it currently trades at $1.02, reflecting an 82% drop from its peak. Over the past 30 days, the price has fallen 10.1%, and it is down 32.6% from its interim high of $1.51 on September 20.
The thin market depth and high concentration of trading on a single exchange pose challenges for investors, particularly those with larger positions. The lack of a direct euro trading pair adds another layer of complexity, making it essential for traders to carefully consider the implications of exiting their MemeCore positions.
