MetaMask Staking Nears Completion of Lido Validator Exit
MetaMask Staking has almost finished its withdrawal of validators from Lido, with the returned Ether expected to re-enter the protocol within the next few weeks. The exit process concluded smoothly, marking a significant step for MetaMask Staking.
As the final group of validators completed their exit, Lido’s staked Ether token, stETH, maintained an annualized reward rate of 2.23%. This rate has remained steady since August, reflecting stability in Lido’s staking rewards.
Lido’s rewards are backed by over 600 independent node operators, which helps diversify the risk and minimizes the impact of validator exits on total rewards. Additionally, a shorter Ethereum entry queue now allows newly staked Ether to start earning rewards more quickly.
MetaMask Staking has announced plans to release a detailed postmortem report in the coming weeks, providing further insights into the exit process.
