Metaplanet's $237M Bitcoin Move Sparks Sales Fears

Metaplanet's massive Bitcoin transfer to Coinbase Prime has raised concerns about potential sales.

The company moved approximately $237 million in Bitcoin to the exchange, sparking speculation that it might be selling part of its holdings. However, Metaplanet's strategy involves aggressive accumulation and management of its 43,000 BTC, acquired at an average price of around $96,191 per coin.

Given the current market value of Bitcoin is below this threshold, Metaplanet faces a significant unrealized loss on its holdings. Nevertheless, the company maintains that these movements are part of its regular operations rather than confirmed sales.
