Midnight Seeks to Outshine Zcash with Ambitious Features

Charles Hoskinson, founder of Input Output Global (IOG), believes that Midnight, a privacy-focused blockchain and partner chain to Cardano, has the potential to surpass Zcash in terms of growth.

Hoskinson highlighted several features he thinks will give Midnight an edge over established privacy networks. These include private agents, a decentralized finance (DeFi) kernel built to support major blockchains, selective disclosure, and a technology stack combining zero-knowledge proofs (ZK), trusted execution environments (TEEs), and multiparty computation (MPC).

NIGHT, the native token powering Midnight, has experienced a significant gain of 21% in just one week, jumping from $0.023 to $0.028. This sharp move has caught the attention of Weiss Crypto, which suggested that NIGHT could rank among the strongest-performing crypto investments over the next 24 months.

Hoskinson remains bullish on Midnight's long-term potential, citing its combination of privacy technology, programmable smart contracts, cross-chain DeFi functionality, and Cardano's underlying infrastructure as key factors. He believes this will give the project a major advantage as it scales.
