Moca Chain Debuts Decentralized Blockchain for Digital Identity Management

Share

Animoca Brands' Moca Chain has launched a decentralized blockchain network to manage digital identities. The Moca Foundation and Moca Network say this addresses growing privacy risks caused by $100B+ in annual data custody costs and AI agent web traffic.

The launch comes as businesses struggle with fragmented digital identity systems that require customers to undergo similar verification procedures across multiple platforms.

Moca Chain allows users to carry verified digital credentials across applications without sharing their underlying personal information. Over 9 partners, including SK Planet and Automobili Lamborghini, plan to integrate Moca Network's AIR in 2026.

According to Animoca Brands' co-founder Yat Siu, 'users should not be forced to surrender sensitive personal information redundantly every time they use a new service and platform.'
