MoneyGram has launched a new USDC Visa card in Colombia, powered by Stellar's blockchain infrastructure. The virtual card allows users to spend USDC at retailers and access mobile wallets for contactless payments. Users can connect their digital-dollar balances with conventional retail payments without needing to withdraw cash first.

The product was developed in partnership with fintech firm Rain and crypto infrastructure provider Crossmint. The new card connects with Apple Pay or Google Wallet, converting USDC into Colombian pesos automatically at checkout.

Stellar provides the blockchain infrastructure for fast transactions, while Crossmint handles wallet custody for the service. MoneyGram plans to add its MGUSD stablecoin, which runs on Stellar, and introduce physical cards by the end of 2026 that will support ATM withdrawals and expand across Latin America.
