MoonPay's PayBox Brings AI-Powered Commerce to ChatGPT and Claude

MoonPay has introduced PayBox, an AI payment vault that lets users connect their crypto wallets and payment cards to ChatGPT and Claude, enabling purchases inside a conversation without handing over control of their funds.

The non-custodial vault combines crypto wallets and payment cards in a single interface without any transfer of ownership or custody to third parties. No party, including MoonPay, can independently access a user's funds or credentials.

The security architecture of PayBox uses multi-party computation (MPC) and trusted execution environments (TEEs) to protect crypto wallet keys. Keys are split across hardware-isolated secure environments, ensuring no single device or session holds a complete private key.
