Morgan Defends BlackRock's SEC Filing Amid XRP Community Criticism
BlackRock's recent filing with the SEC has sparked criticism from some members of the XRP community, but attorney Bill Morgan is pushing back against those criticisms. The world's largest asset manager has expanded its cash management strategy by launching a 'BlackRock Daily Reinvestment Stablecoin Reserve Vehicle' on Solana.
The move marks BlackRock's commitment to bringing stablecoin reserves onchain and provides clients with additional choice in accessing and using money market fund investment solutions across traditional and digital markets. According to Jon Steel, Global Head of Product and Platform for BlackRock's Cash Management business, 'Cash remains a foundational building block for investors, corporations, and financial institutions.'
Morgan emphasizes that the partnership does not undermine Ripple's growth and that Ripple is enabling institutions to issue and manage tokenized funds/share classes on the XRP Ledger. He notes that these initiatives aim to scale institutional tokenization on the ledger and address longstanding market inefficiencies.
