Morgan Stanley has launched a 'digital asset lab' to test various crypto products, according to reports from Bloomberg. The lab allows Morgan Stanley to experiment with stablecoins, tokenized assets, and decentralized finance apps in a secure environment.

The digital asset lab is one of many initiatives by the bank to explore the world of cryptocurrency. In April, Morgan Stanley debuted its Bitcoin Trust fund, which now manages over $871 million in assets. The bank has been working with regulators to develop crypto products safely and responsibly.

Morgan Stanley's head of firmwide market innovation and labs, Megan Brewer, emphasized the importance of a secure and compliant environment for testing new digital assets. The lab is also exploring tokenized deposits, central-bank digital currencies, and tokenized money market funds.
