Most Americans Think Crypto Is Too Risky for Retirement Accounts

Share

A recent National Institute on Retirement Security survey found that most Americans consider cryptocurrency too risky for their workplace retirement accounts.

The survey revealed that 77% of respondents deemed crypto as 'risky', while nearly half, or 46%, labeled it 'very risky'.

Furthermore, more than half of those surveyed, 53%, believed employers should not offer cryptocurrency as a retirement investment option.

This comes at a challenging time for Americans trying to prepare for retirement, with four in five respondents saying the US is facing a retirement crisis. The survey also found that 61% are worried about having enough money to remain financially secure after retirement.
