MSTR Surges to $137.40 as Schiff Warns of 'Death Spiral'
Bitcoin's recent rally has lifted the price of MSTR to $137.40, but not everyone is convinced it's a lasting trend.
In a statement on X, Peter Schiff suggested that part of the stock's rise may be due to short-covering, rather than genuine demand.
Schiff remains steadfast in his 'death spiral' thesis, which posits that Strategy's reliance on new share issuance to fund preferred stock dividends could ultimately lead to financial difficulties if Bitcoin weakens.
Michael Saylor, however, took a more optimistic view, posting an AI-generated video of himself riding a bull and captioning it 'Ride the ₿ull'.
Saylor's stance reflects his continued confidence in Bitcoin and its impact on Strategy's outlook, which has eased some concerns about the company's access to capital and its need to sell Bitcoin to meet obligations.
