Mt. Gox Estate Still Holding onto Massive Bitcoin Stash

The Mt. Gox estate is holding onto a massive stash of Bitcoin, with addresses associated with the collapsed exchange containing over $2.88 billion worth of BTC.

According to data on the blockchain, these addresses hold 34,387.51 Bitcoin, a staggering amount that remains visible more than 10 years after Mt. Gox went under in 2014.

The exact number of Bitcoins is not surprising, given the massive scale of the exchange's collapse at the time. For context, Mt. Gox was once the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world before it shut down due to a hack that resulted in the loss of over $460 million in customer funds.
