MultiversX Chain Resumes, but EGLD Withdrawals Remain Frozen at Some Exchanges

The MultiversX chain has been running again since September 24, but some exchanges are still freezing EGLD withdrawals.

Bitvavo and Binance's native network are currently under maintenance, while Kraken closed its incident on October 1 and is trading EGLD against the euro again.

Upbit is expected to decide between October 19 and October 23 whether trading continues.

The issue lies with the exchanges' need to verify customer balances and ensure incoming deposits are valid, rather than a problem with the MultiversX chain itself.

The EGLD token trades at $4.53, or 4.03 euros, and has a market capitalization of roughly $140 million.

The situation highlights the importance of understanding how each exchange handles withdrawals and the risks involved, especially for smaller tokens.
