A mysterious Bitcoin holder has sent their entire 20,000.10537 BTC balance from a 12-year dormant wallet to a major centralised exchange in March this year.

The funds were then returned to the original wallet over three consecutive days, with the difference being a mere $3 at the time.

The unusual transaction has been identified as part of a larger trend of 107 BTC burned in May, worth around $8.5 million at the time.

Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis suggests that the same owner may have managed five addresses involved in the burn, all of which received funds on the same day in April 2014 and sent Bitcoin to the exchange.
