Nadex Registers for US Stock Futures Amid Crypto.com's Push into Perpetuals
Crypto.com has taken a significant step towards offering U.S. stock futures after registering its derivatives business, Nadex, with the SEC on September 14.
The registration became effective immediately, allowing Nadex to trade security futures products under Section 6(g) of the Securities Exchange Act.
Nadex is separately regulated by the CFTC as a designated contract market and clearing organization. The exchange plans to restrict direct access to qualified exchange members, with firms carrying customer accounts for the products required to be registered futures commission merchants and SEC-registered broker-dealers.
Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek stated that the company is working with both the SEC and CFTC on perpetual futures tied to individual U.S. stocks, aiming to combine digital-asset market structures with U.S. capital markets.
