Nansen CEO Confirms Bitcoin Will Never Drop Below 60,000
Nansen CEO Alex Svanevik remains confident that Bitcoin will never drop below $60,000 again. Speaking with Bitcoin currently trading at $86,090, up 1% in the last 24 hours and 3.6% over the week, Svanevik reiterated his stance that the cryptocurrency has established a new floor. He attributes this not to Bitcoin's unique qualities alone, but to the ongoing debasement of fiat currencies due to relentless central bank money printing.
Svanevik pointed to Bitcoin's fixed supply cap of 21 million coins and the fact that many coins are already lost as key factors supporting higher lows. He dismissed the idea of providing a 2026 price target, citing geopolitical risks, Treasury bills, and rising interest rates as variables that make short-term predictions unreliable. Additionally, he highlighted a potential systemic risk from a stalled AI trade, which could have broader market implications.
Looking ahead, Svanevik expressed enthusiasm for tokenized stocks and layer-1 networks like Solana. He cited Hyperliquid, a platform where traders are already active in assets such as oil and commodities, as a positive signal for crypto, DeFi, and token launch activity. The CEO also credited a "very pro-blockchain" SEC and CFTC in the US for enabling these advancements.
