Nasdaq Company's Reverse Split Dilutes Investor Holdings by 98%
The Nasdaq-listed company Next Technology Holding Inc. (NXTT) is set to undergo its second reverse split in less than a year, this time with a ratio of 1-for-100. The move, which will take effect on August 10, aims to reduce the outstanding shares from approximately 147.3 million to roughly 1.47 million.
According to Next Technology's latest quarterly filing, the company holds approximately 5,833 BTC, with a value of around $351.5 million at June 30. The reverse split will result in a significant reduction in calculated Bitcoin per share, from about 204,000 satoshis at the September baseline to around 4,000 satoshis at June 30.
The August 10 action is expected to lift this calculation to approximately 396,000 satoshis for each new share. This means that investors who held shares before the September reset will see their holdings diluted by about 98% without selling a single coin.
