NEAR ETF Listing Sparks Institutional Price Target of $155-$562
Bitwise's NEAR spot ETF ($NRR) has been approved for listing on NYSE Arca and will begin trading on September 24. The approval marks a significant step towards mainstream institutional investment in the NEAR ecosystem, as it allows investors to gain exposure to the asset through traditional financial channels.
The custodian for the fund will be Coinbase Custody (COIN.US), which will also carry out staking operations and retain approximately 67% of the staking reward income. This mechanism aims to enhance the holding experience by reducing circulating supply, a standard configuration for current staking-based ETFs.
Bitwise has set a price target of $155-$562 for NEAR, suggesting that institutional entry could reshape its valuation framework. The forecast is partly based on the historical performance of Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs, which have seen significant price increases following the launch of similar products.
The listing of $NRR marks a new milestone in the crypto-asset regulatory compliance process, as it provides a clear institutional pricing anchor for an altcoin. Its success or failure will profoundly shape the trajectory of future crypto-asset regulatory compliance.
