Near Token Surges 80% Amid Growing Demand for Privacy-Focused Cross-Chain Trading
Near Protocol's native token has surged nearly 80% in a week, reaching $4.29 as activity around its cross-chain and privacy-focused infrastructure accelerates.
NEAR Intents has processed roughly $29.3 billion in cumulative volume, including about $842 million over the past seven days. This growth is largely driven by Zcash wallet ZODL, which emerged as one of the platform's largest referral sources, highlighting growing demand for privacy-focused cross-chain trading.
NEAR Intents enables users to express what they want to do, such as swapping tokens, staking, or bridging, without worrying about how it's executed on-chain. This abstraction simplifies, gasless, and smart-contract-powered actions across the NEAR ecosystem, making Web3 interactions more intuitive and accessible.
A notable transaction was a ZEC swap worth roughly $613,000, recorded among the largest transactions on the platform during the same period. According to Camran Khosravi, a Bitwise research analyst, Near and Zcash are 'complements' as NEAR provides ZEC holders access to confidential cross-chain infrastructure and liquidity.
