Near Token Surges ~80% Amid Growing Demand for Privacy-Focused Trading
Near Protocol's native token NEAR has surged ~80% in the past week due to growing demand for its privacy-focused trading and cross-chain swap infrastructure. According to CoinGecko, NEAR traded around $4.29, outpacing a broader market that rose about 6% over the same period.
Near's confidential perpetual futures trading feature has become the default, hiding the link between funding wallets and Hyperliquid trading accounts. This move is part of Near's push into privacy, with its confidential total value locked (TVL) surpassing $70 million, triggering the first snapshot under the NEAR@3.33 incentive program.
Near Intents' cumulative volume has reached about $29.3 billion, with $842 million recorded over the last seven days. This growth is attributed to its platform that coordinates cross-chain swaps by matching users with market makers.
