North Dakota's Bank of North Dakota and Milwaukee-based Fiserv have launched a new digital asset platform for financial institutional clients. The first product on this platform is the dollar-backed stablecoin, Roughrider Coin, which settles on Solana.

Roughrider Coin gives over 90 banks and credit unions in North Dakota a new way to move money between each other using crypto-native rails.

This marks significant institutional adoption of cryptocurrency and a token launch with an on-chain settlement use case for stablecoins.
