NYSE and Blockchain.com Team Up for Tokenized Stock Trading
Blockchain.com and NYSE Group have joined forces to explore access to tokenized U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs. The proposed service would utilize NYSE's planned digital trading venue, potentially enabling around-the-clock trading for eligible global users.
The project is still in its early stages and subject to the launch of NYSE's digital Alternative Trading System (ATS) and required regulatory approvals. Blockchain.com would become a distribution partner if the system launches, giving its global customer base access to tokenized versions of exchange-listed shares and ETFs from the same ecosystem used for digital assets.
The agreement also includes data sharing, with NYSE parent ICE distributing Blockchain.com's crypto-market data and Blockchain.com integrating ICE and NYSE equity data into its own products. This integration would allow for seamless trading between traditional securities and digital assets.
