OKX and ICE Unveil Uniswap v4 Hook for Tokenized Stock Venue
The joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and OKX, OKXICE, is launching a stock venue on Uniswap using a Uniswap v4 hook to improve market structure and draw in new assets and users. The venue, called the Tokenized Securities Venue (TSV), plans to list tokenized versions of over 60 US National Market System (NMS) stocks, including Apple, Nvidia, and Tesla, paired with stablecoins. Trading will run 24/7, with trades happening in permissioned Uniswap v4 automated market maker pools deployed on X Layer, OKX's blockchain.
The compliance check takes the form of non-transferable soulbound tokens, or SBTs, which users receive after passing Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) screening. OKXICE also keeps administrative authority over the system, allowing them to create pools, pause trading, and upgrade the underlying contracts.
The process has already faced an objection from Cerebras, the first issuer, and the SEC's Innovation Exemption was issued only on September 17, 2026. The 30-day objection window has not closed, and it remains to be seen whether more issuers will join Cerebras in objecting or whether the SEC will let the window lapse without action.
