OKX and NYSE-Parent ICE File for 24/7 Tokenized US Stocks Platform
A joint venture between OKX and NYSE-parent Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) has filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to launch a tokenized securities platform for around-the-clock trading of US stocks.
The platform, OKXICE, aims to allow more than 60 listed companies to be traded 24/7 throughout the week.
This move comes after the SEC unveiled an exemption allowing companies to offer trading in blockchain-based or 'tokenized' stocks and other securities.
Former New York governor Andrew Cuomo, co-chair of OKXICE, described this as a 'landmark step toward a truly global, 24/7 Wall Street.'
