OKX, one of the world's leading centralized crypto exchanges, has announced a strategic partnership with Vietnamese exchange CAEX. OKX founder and CEO Star Xu confirmed the news on April 10, stating that the company will join CAEX as a partner alongside domestic founding shareholders and international investor HashKey Capital.

The partnership aims to support CAEX in developing critical areas such as infrastructure, regulatory compliance, security, risk management, and liquidity. OKX will invest in CAEX through its investment arm, OKX Ventures, in April 2026. This investment will help CAEX meet the minimum charter capital requirement of VND 10 trillion ($380 million), a key condition for participating in Vietnam's pilot program for regulated digital asset trading.

This move reflects OKX's strategy of working with regulators to ensure sustainable growth within Vietnam's evolving legal framework. The company expects that by 2030, most Southeast Asian markets will have completed legal frameworks and licensing systems for digital asset companies.
